UTR Ladder Event at the National Campus in Orlando
Our latest tennis competition, at the USTA National Campus in Orlando , was exciting and particularly of interest for izzers. I brought three players who compete using the izzers Tennis Score Keeper . Each was looking forward to improving his or her UTR ranking . The National Campus has been holding monthly UTR ladder events on Fridays. The format is round robin, three matches, two sets starting at 2-All. It was a 100 degree day in humid Orlando, so after a few games I heard the familiar "IS IT 30-All?!" that signaled score disputes were going to start once fatigue set in. One izzers Tennis ScoreKeeper player had an argumentative opponent. He was not going to just accept that she had the izzers Tennis scorekeeper on her racket and was carefully marking and calling out the score.
